This beautiful bag is hand woven in the East of Bali. They are made from Ata or Ati and is a reed, making the material strong and durable.
The Ata bag is split right into 4 pieces and woven into numerous designs to create the bags. The unique skills and methods for this art have been passed down and refined over several generations of Balinese ladies.
After the bags are woven, they are dried for a number of days and afterwards smoked over a coconut fire to get their gold brownish colour. Each bag can take up to a month to make depending on the size.

Each bag is handmade and unique, therefore size may vary slightly in dimension.
